Eduardo Moreno was born on October 10, 1978 in Mc Allen, TX to Martha Moreno and Aleazar Velasquez. He was raised in Houston, TX and was the eldest of five siblings. He graduated from Angelo State University, and majored in Spanish and Music. He worked as a Spanish Interpreter for many years but his real passion was philosophy - Ed was a great thinker.
Ed would spend countless hours discussing religion, psychology, history, politics, current events, metaphysics, linguists and anything that sparked a passion in him. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with the people he loved. He immensely enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and working on his land. He was honest, blunt, funny, and passionate about life.
Ed was an extremely involved uncle, he always gave thoughtful gifts, spent countless hours playing video games with his nephews, organized fun excursions, and gave great advice and guidance. He was the best big brother we could have ever asked for. He taught his siblings the importance of thinking clearly, to rely on logic and not get lost in emotion. He was the first to go to college and the first to travel and in doing so he showed us the possibilities this world has to offer.
He is preceded in death by his father Aleazar Velazquez.
Survivors include his mother Martha Moreno, brothers Roberto Moreno, Ricardo Moreno, Sylvester Moreno, sister Mara Moreno. Sister in Law Lolita Moreno, nephews Daniel Moreno, Percy Massenberg Jr, Roberto Jr, and Cory Williams, Sylvester Jr, Felicity Moreno, Sophia Moreno, Mercedez and Alyzea Moreno, Serenity and Deanne Moreno and countless other family members.
As the first born he was and is a special gift from God our heavenly Father to his mother and his entire family who will always cherish him. Ed was a best friend to many. He took friendship seriously, he was caring and very involved with all his friends. His friendships were deep and meaningful, he will be missed by so many.
I want to thank God for blessing us with Ed. We will never forget you Eduardo Moreno, you are the rock and the shine to this family but god saw how special you are and took you to a better place so therefore until next time we will forever miss you and love you immensely.
