Laura Maria Morales (Pasadena, TX), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend was called home by our Lord peacefully on January 2, 2020 at the young age of 89.
Laura was born in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico on March 7, 1930. Her parents were Pedro Morillon and Maria Martinez de Morillon.
Laura was married to Humberto Morales on October 2, 1956. Their union remained for 39 beautiful years.
She came to the United States of America with her husband, three sons and one daughter in 1965. Laura then worked various jobs to help support her family, and ultimately retired from Foley’s where she worked for 24 years.
Laura Morales became a U.S. Citizen February 16, 1999. She loved plants, flowers, shopping, cooking, bingo and watching novellas. She loved her grandchildren very much. Spending time with them brought her joy. She looked forward to her travels to Mexico to see her sisters, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by sons Jesse and wife Jennifer, Geno, Adrian, and daughter Laura and husband Emilio; grandchildren Lisa and husband Shane, Christina, Sergio, Samantha, Michael, Christian and Derek; great grandchildren Jaidon, Briahna, Vylett, Jordan, Denise, Vivienne. Laura is also survived by her sisters Ana and Guerillmina, and many family members in Mexico and longtime friends.
Laura is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Maria, husband Humberto, brother Jaime, and sisters Manuela, Elsa, Bertha, and Luz.
Laura will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her. She has told her family that she was ready for the Lord to call her home. Be joyful and celebrate her life, for she is in a better place, perfect and in peace.
