Maria Delma Saenz Garcia, age 66 went home to be with Our Lord Jehovah and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 24th, 2020. She was born in Robstown, TX. on Oct 1, 1953. Delma attended Robstown High School and possessed several musical talents, such as playing the piano, clarinet, and French Horn in the Robstown Marching Band. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Delma worked for the Robstown ISD until she retired and moved to Houston. Delma was an avid reader, in particular studying the Holy Bible. John 3:16 was her favorite verse and her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Delma was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. Delma was predeceased by her beloved parents Manuel Saenz Jr. and Carmen Salazar Saenz and her brother, Manuel Saenz, III and survived by husband Rolando Garcia, her loving children, Rolando F. Garcia, Laura Garcia (Manuel) Santibañez and Ruby Garcia (Brandon & Abel) Limas and Sydney Garcia, and her step-daughter Corrina Garcia Mendoza as well as siblings George Saenz. Maria Estela Lopez and Ercilia (Ercie Saenz) and Stephen Masten. As well as her in-laws Rafaelita (Jimmy) Cardenas. Delma was also blessed and adored by her grandchildren Eden, Hayden, Audriana, Manuel Jr, Cody & Rachel, nieces & nephews Stephanie Sanchez Erickson, Amanda Soto, Steven Sanchez, Joseph Soto, Stacey Soto and numerous other relatives and friends. A private service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at East Haven Funeral Home Houston TX. Given the current situation, a “life Celebration” memorial service will be held in Delma's honor in her hometown, Robstown, TX. in the near future.
