Pablo Silvas Obituary

Pablo Silvas, Jr., was born in Realitos, Texas on March 27, 1954, to Manuela Perez and Pablo Silvas, Sr. He was the baby of his family to twelve brothers and sisters. Our mother Francisca “Frances” Medel, has been hopelessly in love with Dad since the day she first laid eyes on him in 1972!

When we think of Dad’s time with us, we always end up sharing stories about the endless ways he makes us laugh and shares his knowledge and skills as a carpenter with everyone in our family. Dad has knowledge that he willingly shares with everyone he meets. Many of you reading this have something in your home or business that Dad envisioned with you, and he then built with his hands. It didn’t matter how tired he may have been, he always did the job because he’s an excellent craftsman who takes pride in his work. In this way, he touched many lives. And while our heartbreak is great, it pales in comparison to our mother’s.

So, while we grieve the loss of our Dad, best friend, and life coach, we also want to celebrate his life. He loved the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans. He loved fishing and backyard cookouts. He loved listening to music and singing along in that voice that we’re going to miss. He loved dancing in that way that only he can dance. And if you know our father, then you know he’s a man filled with pride and love for his family, but more importantly, he has loved our mother for what feels like many lifetimes.

Dad is survived by his beautiful wife, our mother, Frances Silvas and their children, Samantha Perez, Timothy Gabriel Silvas, and Paula Marie Silvas; grandchildren, Michael Perez, Jr., Stephanie Marie Perez, Gabriela Samantha Silvas, Jessica Silvas, Narcisse Genevie Carmona, Martin Guadalupe Carmona, Jr., Matthew Ashton Carmona, Timothy Gabriel Silvas II, Timothy Gabriel Silvas III, and Ava Esabella Carmona; and great-granddaughter, Evelyn Silvas Benavidez, and another great-granddaughter on the way, Ariah Isabella Carmona. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are all the products of a lifetime of love that our parents have for one another.
