Purvis Lewis

Purvis Lewis went home to be with the Lord October 14, 2021 at the age of 65.

Purvis  born to the late Joe and Sarah Lewis on January 31, 1956 in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

The oldest of nine children. Purvis attended Forrest Brook High School.
He was predeceased by his father Joe Lewis Sr, mother Sarah Lewis, brother Rodney Lewis, brother Terry Lewis and sister Brenda Lewis.

He survived by two brothers Joe Lewis Jr, Michael Louis, three sisters  Patricia Lewis, Terry Lewis and Benita Lewis; Step siblings Michael Harris, Ikez Harris, and Ebony Baldwin (Donald Baldwin). One uncle Leon Walker ( Renae Walker) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tribute to my Brother:

No one can tell us how blessed we were to have you as our Big Brother. When I think back over the years all the special things you’ve done for us. You gave without any conditions and inspired without a reward.

    I hold you close in memory even though we’re apart. My heart still aches in sadness and secret my tears still flow. We shall meet again on the other side.
